After about three weeks of Facebook absence and to what I can safely refer to as a substantial obsession over leaving "The Book," I found myself forgetting that Facebook ever existed. This lead me to ask, "Why do we use Facebook?" 

But the hardest part about the first week of quitting the social media marvel that has captured more than 500 million users was the consistent realization that literally everyone around me was on Facebook.

I decided the only way to find out the truth behind how life was lived without our beloved Facebook and to answer any and every question associated with life before the social media monster was to quit cold turkey.

With businesses using Facebook as an informational website surrogate and friends posting daily wall comments it's almost impossible to adequately function without Facebook in our 21st Century Facebook-driven society.
